Anichabiography
Anicha is a professional dancer who has made a fusion of Mid Eastern belly dance, other cultures and modern influences. What does Anicha mean and why does she call it Bellytrance?
Her name Anicha means change in old Hindi (Pali). According to Vipassana meditation:”to know that everything is changing, when there is no clinging, graving and aversion, can give profound peace and happiness.” It applies as well to her dancing: When the musician(s) and the dancer are completely in tune the rhythm is felt in the core and expressed in the moment, it’s called trance. This is an other mind state.
The belly is the life giving part of the body, it’s also the place from where you can direct your energy. Learning how to relax and control theses muscles gives strength.
