Anastasija Zvirbule was born in Moscow in 1983. Till her age of eleven Anastasija had seen most cities of Europe and Russia with the “String Ensemble” When she was sixteen years old something began to change with her.
Being away from home opened her search for originality and new ideas. She could concentrate how to complete her performing scales and try out more new different styles and sounds. At that time her friend, drum and bass Dj Magnetique, offered her to jam together. It was her first experience to play with a Dj ever. Out of a sudden this “crazy idea” turned out to be a totally different style than the usual and common way of improvisation.
She was lucky to work with Dj Krii, who is now one of the most talented and professional DJ in Latvia and Baltic States and still her most favourite scratch DJ she knows! She started to perform with different kind of Djs, because this unknown style had to be tried and developed immediately! Professionally it became also a part of her income by playing in the biggest and most special clubs in the Baltic States.
At the age of 21 she came to study in the Netherlands. Right now she is a student of CODARTS, Rotterdam’s Conservatory. Studying Jazz and Classical music at the same time, as actually she always wanted!
