Monte la Rue at The Amsterdam Fashion Week

Monte la Rue has a passion for fashion. Since year and day he is the music selector for many catwalk shows during The Amsterdam Fashion Week. As previous A&R for several dance labels, initiator of the Benelux lounge hype in the 90s, musical director of Maison Royale festival and its own radio show at DJ Broadcast.fm Monte knows exactly what music fits on a catwalk show. Preparing the music weeks before the show, together with the young designers, who want to show off with their creations on stage, Monte is a household name of a select group of music advisors in the fashion scene.

This week he creates the music for the catwalk show of Jeroen van Tuyl at the Westergasfabriek at 23 of July. His Tagore collections has brought Mr. van Tuyl already to Paris and other fashion cities of the world. On 26 of July Monte’s music will be heard again at the catwalkshow of Claes Iversen showing ‘Substantial Stain” SS2009-Womens Wear, also at the Westergasfabriek. Maybelline New York is doing the make-up and House of Orange the choreagraphy.

Especially for this Week of fashion shows in Amsterdam Monte la Rue made a Top-10 with a selection of great tracks which work very well on a catwalk.
