Official After Party “Jazz Dag” by AMS Bookings
At Friday May 16th, AMS Bookings will organise the official after party for “De Dag van de Nederlandse Jazz”. This will be held at De Kelder in Amersfoort from 01:00-03:00 at night. This new initiative of Buma-Cultuur is according the same concept as the Amsterdam Dance Event and Noorderslag (rock/pop), but now with focus on the jazz industry.
During the whole day there are panels with discussions about the Dutch Jazz scene, 30 showcases (incl. Cinema Royale ft. 3SidesLive!), a jazz market and the after party to close this succesful day. AMS Bookings presents the following line-up of great DJs and live musicians who will bring a smooth mixture of jazz & dance.
01:00-02:00 Adani & Wolf Soundsystem ft. Praful (on sax/flute)
02:00-03:00 Monte la Rue ft. Maite (on trumpet) and Anastasija (on violin)
Adani & Wolf produced 2 albums for Praful and sold over 100.000 albums in US only. Adani started as a pioneer with the Dutch jazz dance formation Hit The Boom! early ninetees wherefor he received the prestigious Heineken Crossover Award. In 1999 he got the same award again, but then for Project 2000, an ethnic dance formation mixing worldmusic and beats with drum’n bass. After launching Prafuls solo career and their own A&W album “Les Seigneurs”, they started producing for other artists, including Saskia Laroo, who’s new album “Really Jazzy” has just been succesfully released.
Also Monte La Rue has approached the great producers team of Adani & Wolf and just released his second artist album “The End Of The Rainbow”, now out on United Recordings. Monte la Rue, who writes for Jazz Magazine and programmed for Maison Royale, a great 2 days festival for smooth jazz and crossover, will go jazzy with his dj-set during the after party where Maite (Musica Cubana/Tasha’s World/Mala Vita) will heat up the night on her trumpet together with the Latvian Anastasija on violin, who studies Jazz at Codarts in Rotterdam. 2 hours of hot swinging at “Le Haut Club Le Kelder a Amersfoort”.
